1. Medical insurance is a mandatory document for:
a) obtaining a visa to Ukraine by foreigners (minimum coverage from 30,000 euros);
b) entry of foreigners into Ukraine (covers COVID-19);
c) issuance or extension by foreigners of a temporary residence permit in Ukraine.
2. To issue or extend a temporary residence permit in Ukraine, a foreigner needs medical insurance that will cover the entire period of validity of the residence permit. The insured amount does not matter.

What is a health insurance agreement?
Health insurance is a type of personal voluntary insurance, which guarantees you medical care and compensation for the purchase of medicines at the insurance company's expense if an insured event occurs.
When does one need health insurance?
A voluntary health insurance contract (policy or insurance) is a mandatory document for:
a) obtaining a visa to Ukraine by foreigners (minimum coverage from 30,000 euros);
b) entry of foreigners into Ukraine (covers COVID-19);
c) issuance or extension by foreigners of a temporary residence permit in Ukraine.
What are the requirements for medical insurance policies for foreigners?
For visa issuance:
Minimal coverage — from 30 000 euro;
Period of insurance—for the period of a planned visit to Ukraine,
For temporary residence permit:
Minimum coverage — no requirements in terms of the amount;
Period of insurance — for the period of validity of the temporary visa.
Is it possible to buy insurance for 3 years?
The maximum period of medical insurance validity is one year. If you need to cover the period of validity of your residence permit for three years, we provide three forms, each for one year.
